Magnetic & alluring, Mermaids are perhaps the most famous mythical water creatures. Portrayed as having the upper body of a woman, and the lower body of a fish highlights the symbolically guarded sexual center by having no “legs”, and therefore no “open access” to her sacred womb just to anyone.

Before moving further with spiritual “Rasas/Juicy Flavours” as I have described on my Website, I wanted first to offer my admiration & devotion to the element that is the “carrier & origin” of all Rasas & the most sacred to Goddess Lakshmi – Water. Daughter of Lord Varuna being born from the ocean itself, Lakshmi is worshipped with conch shells & pearls. Water births, sustains & invigorates all living beings.

Varuna rules Swathishthana/Sacral Chakra, the chakra of “Self-establishment” where emotions, sexuality & creative self-expression are born. “Rasa” is also used in context to “interest (in life/self)”, the blockages to this chakra therefore are seen through a lack of interest in one’s own self or life. Lack of self-interest also makes one prone to jealousy, criticism & gossip which drains literal & spiritual water more easily in women due to water & earth being feminine elements. When we carefully observe and discard all energy-dispersing fluxes and become more emotionally intelligent, we increase our water element and become more magnetic.

“Her calves & thighs were from Varuna and her spacious loins came out of the Earth.”

– Devi Bhagavatam, CH 8, Verse 72

Varuna is the deity of Shatabhishak Nakshatra in Mid Aquarius which rules the legs & calves of cosmic man. Water Goddess Apah, sometimes listed as being Varuna’s wife & sometimes as his daughter, is the presiding deity of Purva Ashdha Nakshatra in Mid-Sagittarius which rules the thighs of the cosmic man.

In many texts, the beauty of a woman is described as having thighs as an elephant’s truck & friction between both thighs as she walks, like a mermaid keeping her demeanor elusive which increases her alluring powers.

Water is the most sensitive element, easily contaminated and so needs utmost protection.
“Varuni” is a term used for wine as well as Varuna’s consort. In order to practice alchemy to obtain “nectar”, we first need to purify & protect the sacral chakra, using Varuna’s Noose to “Bind” the vessel containing base material in order for “water to become wine.”

Women face greater difficulty in controlling their emotional outflow of energy in comparison to men. Emotional confusion also disturbs a woman’s ability to set boundaries & she may fall for abusive karmic partners. So the first thing for a woman, is to keep the water element pure by not allowing past lives’ or present life’s negative experiences from depleting her, to develop self-interest and be unafraid of rejecting draining & abusive karmic relationships, to let any & all of her fears, traumas & sorrows die, decompose and become manure in the Muladhara, to smirk at anyone lost in hookup culture judging her as being “orthodox” and never let any emotional fluctuations trade away the “Gift of Purity” she has kept secured for her soulmate. Emotional loyalty & purity are the feminine spiritual & magical “gold coins” similar to how self-discipline & sexual chastity are a man’s.
